British
doctors have urged a halt to genetically modified crop trials.
In November 2002 the British Medical Association (BMA) has
published an
advice to the Health and Community Care Committee of the
Scottish
Parliament. The BMA -that has a membership of over 120.000
representing
more than 80 % of British doctors- says that there "has
not yet been a
robust and thorough search into the potentially harmful
effects of GM
foodstuffs on human health.". To see the full text
of the doctors
advice, click here.
