Adana, 16 October. The city, located in the CUKUROVA plain, is the fifth biggest city in Turkey and is having a great importance for the anti GMO campaign.
During 3 days before the visit of Monster Tomato, a stand was located in Ugur Mumcu Square, -an emblematic square to the memory of a patriot journalist who was killed in 1993- where the activist collected many signatures.
The tomato was located on the Station Square and at 11 am a press declarationswas read out, many journalist and cameramen attended.
Thanks to the excellent contact with the media and to the Public Panel organised by the members of the Platform in Adana, many more people know about the risks of GMOs in Turkey. More than 3000 signatures were collected but the collection of signs continues.
