The Monster Tomato of Friends of the Earth is visiting Turkey and travels around 15 cities in October!

The "No to GMOs Platform" (GDO'YA HAYIR PLATFORMU) in Turkey has launched a campaign against genetically modified organisms (GMO) for the first time in Turkey! The tour will start in the city of Istanbul and finish in Ankara, capital of Turkey. The "No to GMOs Platform" (GDO'YA HAYIR PLATFORMU) is going to hand in a petition to their national Parliament at the end of the tour. The signatories will ask the Turkish government to protect Turkey against the threat of the biotech companies, urging to establish a restrictive working environment for the GMO industry and contributing to the development of a sustainable agriculture.
