Iskenderun, 17 October. The Monster tomato was located at the seaside in one of the most attractive place of the city. Many people, who were walking around and enjoying the sunny day, signed the petition against GM food and crops.

The local NGOs of Iskenderun have many experiences on environmental activities. When the ship "Ulla" with toxic materials sunk in Turkey, they played an important role to make headlines in international and national media. On GMOs, they had had a series of public panel before the tour and because they have good contact with the press they succeeded to send across the message "no to GMOs" to the public and to the government as well.
