Friends of the Earth complaint against the Malaysian Palm Oil Council Friends of the Earth International and Friends of the Earth Europe filed a complaint in July 2007 to the UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) about a Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) television advertisement entitled "Gift from Nature, Gift for Life". The advertisement was broadcast on the BBC and makes claims about the sustainability of palm oil production which FoE believes is misleading.
