Friday 17th, evening
from 17:00 Sandbagger Inn registration desk open
   
evening Sandbagger Inn restaurant open for dinner (all night), Environmentalists from all around the world gather to meet, informal campaigner's meetings, climate witnesses, slide show, FoE exhibition, open stage, disco and music
Saturday 18th, daytime
8:00 Breakfast is served at the Sandbagger Inn Restaurant
9:30 Welcome speech. Reports from climate witnesses and from the COP6 negotiations. Building instructions in English
11:00 March to Dike action site
12:00 Gathering near conference centre
12:15 Start childrens programme
Children from 4 years onward are invited to come to the Children's tent, where a work of art will be made to put on the Dike
12:15 Welcome speeches: Wijnand Duyvendak, director of Milieudefensie, Tony Juniper, director Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Carlos Perez, climate witness of Hurricane Mitch.
12:30 Building Instructions for Dutch activists
12:45 Start of building the Dike.
The Latin Culture Brass Band will provide a musical background for Dike builders. After the Dike has been built, everyone will be invited to place their own banner or message on the Dike.
15:00 Closing speech: Ricardo Navarro, chair Friends of the Earth International
15:15 Live performance of the band Jammah Tammah
16:15 The Dike action ends.
16:15 FoEE café opens at Flood Refuge Tent, FoE exhibition, open stage, music, informal meetings
18:00 Sandbagger Inn Restaurant opens for dinner
20:00 Island Alert Party at the Flood Refuge Tent: Dike-builders, conference delegates and NGO lobbyists are all invited to the party. Live performance of the Pacific band Tevaka, Discotheque with all music styles. Be sure to bring your dancing boots!
Sunday 19th
9:00-11:00 Sandbagger Inn Restaurant open for breakfast at Flood Refuge Tent
11:00 FoE exhibition, informal meetings
