WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS?
SYMBOLIZE THE DANGERS THAT ARE TO COME
The Hague, Netherlands, November 18th -- when world leaders negotiate
about the
world-wide treaty to stop climate change, thousands of people from
all over Europe
gather to construct a Dike encircling the whole conference venue!
The Dike
will be about one kilometer long and made of thosuands of sand bags.
This massive
wall will show world leaders what will happen if they don't take
serious action against
climate change and symbolize the dangers that we might face like
rising sea levels.
Politicians and the world media won't be able to ignore this unique
symbol of people's concern.
The construction of the Dike is accompagnied by other activities
such as music, arts and
bike rides; reports from 'climate witnesses', people that have suffered
from man made
climate change will emphasise how serious the subject is.
On the evening of the day the Dike has been built, there will
be a fantastic Dike Party
-- assuring that you will never forget this important weekend!
