Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland is the UK's most influential national environmental pressure group and is a unique network of campaigning local groups, working in over 200 communities throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
They put pressure on government and business to adopt policies and practices which ensure environmental protection, conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources.
Activating people and communities locally and nationally to reduce their impact on the environment is core to their work, pushing government, industry and financial institutions to adopt the environmental agenda.
Information and Ideas
They also researching and communicate reliable, accessible and provocative information and ideas about environmental problems and their solutions, and the state of the environment locally, nationally and globally.
Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland is one of the 23 member groups that are involved in the School of Sustainability project. They have continued to develop their e-learning platform to help further disseminate the methodology of School of Sustainability, key campaigns and resources that have been developed for communities of action and the wider public.
