Friends of the Earth Europe today joined Korean activists in Brussels to protest against the EU-Korea Trade Agreement Trade Campaigner Charly Poppe addressed members of the Korean Alliance Against US/EU-Korea Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and other activists at a rally timed to coincide with the third round of negotiations. Charly Poppe, Trade Campaigner at Friends of the Earth Europe, said: "This agreement could have devastating impacts on people and the environment, by opening large sectors to unregulated international competition, eroding policy space and creating absurd trade flows". |
