Trade The interests of people and the planet must be put before the interests of big business

Over the last few years, many issues have brought people into the streets in their thousands to demonstrate against the dodgy transatlantic trade deals TTIP and CETA. But perhaps the most contentious has been the issue of ‘corporate courts’ proposed for the frozen EU-US trade deal, TTIP – in trade jargon, known as an Investor-State-Dispute-Settlement (ISDS) mechanism.

The US-EU trade deal and EU-Canada trade deals are Trojan horse treaties; dangerous deals that put big business ahead of our society, health and environment.

Together we can stop these Trojan horse treaties unravelling our hard-won standards, and act to put people and the planet before profits.
